Detroit never disappoints when it comes to looking for something interesting. What a storied city! I came across this mural on an unremarkable empty building in Northwest Detroit. It’s message is clear and important for Detroit’s comeback, our Nation’s survival, and the strength of the Church.
Working together, cheering one another’s inherant worth and actual successes, we can nurture life by pouring it out… Together is the only way through any of our trials. Don’t let fear, worry, and those who peddle it, motivate us into disunity. We need our collective hands on the plow, side by side, together.
We need less identity politics and more soul politics. Let love and the Holy Spirit guide God’s people, the Church, into pouring our lives out to nurture life, love… hope.
“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” – Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT) #pilgrimpath
Join us for an outdoor service June 28th as we begin the “Ideas Have Consequences” sermon series. We’ll explore life at the intersection of biblical worldview and practical philosophy. In these times, let’s think about how we think. 10:30 on the lawn at Mt. Hope
Follow the links below for song sheets for tomorrow’s worship service on the lawn. You can bring them on your personal device or tablet with these .PDF’s. I’ll also have some printed one’s clipped to the fence for you to take if you’d like. Many Blessings!
