Worship and Music

At Mt. Hope we love to worship and praise God. Each Sunday, we sing classic hymns and modern songs that mirror our diverse interests in worship styles and allow each one of us to personally connect to God through different approaches. To lift our voices and musical gifts to our Creator is among our greatest joys.

After fifty years of dedicated service, our beloved Doris Edwards turned leadership of our handbell choir over to our music director, Steve Olsen.

Vocal Choir, practices Wednesdays 7:30 p.m.

The Mt. Hope choir performs special music and accompanies and leads the congregation in song with a spirit of exuberant worship every Sunday morning and on special occasions.

Special Music, practice times vary under the direction of the music director

Barbershop quartets, exotic instruments, and other special musical contributions offer ways for individuals to use their unique talents to praise Christ Jesus. If you have a desire to sing and/or play an instrument during Sunday services, we eagerly welcome you and appreciate your interest.

If you’d like to learn more about participating in musical worship opportunities at Mt. Hope, please contact Steve Olsen at mthopemusicdir@gmail.com.
