Worship & Music

Worship through Song

Mt. Hope has a strong worship and musical tradition. We worship every Sunday through classic hymnbook and modern praise. We are diverse in our approach because we serve a dynamic God who has created us all uniquely to bring glory to Him!

“Shout to the LORD, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy! Sing your praise to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and melodious song, with trumpets and the sound of the ram’s horn. Make a joyful symphony before the LORD, the King! Let the sea and everything in it shout His praise! Let the earth and all living things join in. Let the rivers clap their hands in glee! Let the hills sing out their songs of joy before the LORD.” (Psalms 98:4-8 NLT)

Choir (Practices Wednesdays 7:30 p.m.)

The Mt. Hope choir performs special music and accompanies and leads the congregation in song with a spirit of exuberant worship every Sunday morning and on special occasions. Are you interested in singing with the choir? Contact our Choir Director Shari Allen.

Handbells

Our handbell choir is led by Doris Edwards, who has been working with youth and adults for many years to turn our sanctuary into a refuge for pealing bells of joy. They perform periodically throughout the year in the service. If you are interested, she is always on the lookout for more talent. Contact the Church Office for more information.

Special Music

Do you have a desire to sing or play an instrument for the glory of God? Then you might be interested in performing a piece of special music during the Sunday service. From barbershop quartets to exotic instruments, special music is a way for individuals to use their musical talents to praise Christ Jesus. Contact the Church Office for more information.
