Dessert & Doctrine

Join us for a scrumptuous dessert and sound biblical doctrine with Mt. Hope’s Sunday evening series, Dessert & Doctrine!

For our second week, we’ll take you on a fascinating tour of Christian communion throughout history, starting with Jesus and the Last Supper and continuing through today. How has communion changed? In what different ways do people observe it?

Each Dessert & Doctrine session will run from one hour from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Babysitting will be provided. Come for at least five of the sessions and receive a certificate of participation at the conclusion of the series!

Youth Mission Trip

  • SUMMER MISSION TRIP (July 19-25) to Wintersville, OH with Group Workcamps: Give a week of your service and earn heavenly rewards as we fix houses for the needy. $449 ($225 deposit), grades 6-12.
  • “While you’re out and about in Wintersville, however, you won’t have to look far to see the genuine need of the elderly residents in the community. Many younger residents—faced with bleak job prospects after the steel and coal industries left town—headed south, leaving the seniors with no help for basic home maintenance. You’ll serve people who have a generous heart and positive attitude, but just need the encouragement and spirit of Jesus that you’ll bring.”

For our first week, we’ll be looking at the purpose of prayer. Why do we pray? Why does God want us to pray? What is prayer’s ultimate purpose?

Each Dessert & Doctrine session will run from one hour from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Babysitting will be provided. Come for at least five of the sessions and receive a certificate of participation at the conclusion of the series!
